Advertiser supported, the monthly Mid-county Memo newspaper circulates 17,000 copies in the Gateway and Parkrose neighborhoods in east Portland. More than 15,000 newspapers are directly mailed free of charge to homes in the area bounded on the east and west by Northeast 82nd and 162nd avenues, with Sandy Boulevard and East Burnside Street on the north and south. Remaining copies distributed at popular gathering places throughout the area.

The Mid-county Memo is published monthly by Mid-county Memo Publishing, Inc., 3510 NE 134th Ave., Portland, Oregon 97230. Revenue to publish and distribute the Mid-county Memo comes from the advertising in each issue. Subscriptions are $23.80 for one year. Please call 503-287-8904 for information on advertising, distribution, subscriptions or news. Total circulation: 15,000 with over 12,500 copies being mailed free, to homes only, between N.E. 92nd & 162nd Avenues - Sandy Blvd. to East Burnside St. All material copyright 2005 by Mid-county Memo Publishing, Inc. and/or the bylined authors or photographers. One of Portland's oldest community newspapers, the Mid-county Memo was founded in May 1985. It is mailed monthly, free, to every home in a geographic-specific area of Portland, in the middle of Multnomah County, Oregon.

The Memo publishes news and perspectives of the diverse neighborhoods of east Portland that include Parkrose, Hazelwood, Russell, Gateway, Parkrose Heights, Wilkes, Glenfair, Mill Park and Madison South.

Neighborhood, library, church, senior, social and fraternal organization meetings, and events in the Gateway and Parkrose communities are also published.

The Memo circulation area encompasses the Parkrose School District entirely, and two others partially: David Douglas and Reynolds.
