Beloved coach and P.E. teacher dies
Edward Tribby was born in Kansas City, Mo., on July 6, 1939 to Marjorie and Bennie Tribby and had two brothers, John and Michael. He graduated from Gresham High School in 1957 and served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963. After an honorable discharge, he completed a Bachelor of Science degree at Portland State University in 1968 and earned a Master of Science degree from the University of Oregon in 1969. After 29 years at Parkrose High School, he retired as the athletic director in 1998.

Ed contracted chronic lymphatic leukemia in 2005 and fought a courageous battle, passing quietly at home on Sunday, Sept. 22. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Patty Sue; her sons, Kevin and Kelly (wife, Christina) Hugulet; beloved grandchildren, Rachel, Ben, Cassie and Ella; and brother, Michael in Atlanta. A celebration of life gathering has been held. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made in honor of Edward Tribby to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society at lls.org/oswim or by calling 971-230-2185.
